The carbide balls are ideal for use in harsh environments, extremely resistant to abrasion, impact, corrosion and hard. Deformation.Raw Material:The cemented carbide ball is based on a high hardness refractory metal carbide (WC, TiC) micron powder, with cobalt (Co) or nickel (Ni), molybdenum (Mo) as a binder, in a vacuum furnace or Powder metallurgy products sintered in a hydrogen reduction furnace are currently available in the YG, YN, YT, and YW series.Classification:Carbide balls mainly include blank balls, fine grinding balls, punching balls, bearing balls, ball balls, non-magnetic balls, Monel balls, through-hole balls, measuring balls, scratching balls, and ball beads.Features:The hard alloy ball has high hardness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, bending resistance and harsh use environment, and can replace all steel ball products. The hardness of the cemented carbide ball is ≥90.5, and the density is 14.9 g/cm3.Application:Carbide balls are used in a wide range of applications, such as: precision parts punching, precision bearings, instruments, meters, pens, sprayers, pumps, mechanical parts, sealing valves, brake pumps, punching holes, oil fields, Hydrochloric acid laboratory, hardness measuring instrument, fishing gear, counterweight, decoration, finishing and other high-end industries!Common Grades :GradeComponenthardnessdensityMPametallographicanalysisWCCOHRAg/cm³g/m³YG694%6%9114.6-15.01700A02B02C02YG892%8%8914.4-14.81800A02B02C02Precision parameters of cemented carbide ball:PRECISION CLASSVARIATIonSPHERICALSURFACETOLERANCELOT VARIATIONG30.0762μm0.0762μm0.0127μm±0.762μm0.127μm(0.000003″)(0.000003″)(0.0000005″)(±0.0003″)(0.000003″)G50.127μm0.127μm0.02μm±1.27μm0.254μm(0.000005″)(0.000005″)(0.0000008″)(±0.0005″)(0.00001″)G100.254μm0.254μm0.0254μm±2.54μm0.508μm(0.00001″)(0.00001″)(0.000001″)(±0.0001″)(0.00002″)G150.381μm0.381μm0.0254μm±2.54μm0.0762μm(0.000015″)(0.000015″)(0.000001″)(±0.0001″)(0.00003″)G160.4064μm0.4064μm0.0254μm±2.54μm0.8128μm(0.000016″)(0.000016″)(0.000001″)(±0.0001″)(0.000032″)G240.6096μm0.6096μm0.0508μm±2.54μm1.2192μm(0.000024″)(0.000024″)(0.000002″)(±0.00001″)(0.000048″)G250.635μm0.635μm0.0762μm±2.54μm1.27μm(0.000025″)(0.000025″)(0.000003″)(±0.0001″)(0.00005″)G481.2192μm1.2192μm0.0762μm±0.508μm2.4384μm(0.000048″)(0.000048″)(0.000003″)(±0.0002″)(0.000096″)G501.27μm1.27μm0.0762μm±7.62μm2.54μm(0.00005″)(0.00005″)(0.000003″)(±0.0003″)(0.0001″)Reference table of common specifications:diameter (mm)density (g/cm³)piece weight (g/pcs)2180.0752.5180.1473180.2543.5180.4044180.6034.5180.8595181.1785.5181.5676182.0356.5182.5877183.2317.5183.9758184.8248.5185.7869186.8689.5188.07810189.421121816.280Carbide productionThe productionprocess of powder-metallurgical products basically includes the four steps of powder preparation, forming, sintering andfinishing.Tungsten carbide productionThe APT (ammonium para-tungstate) is calcined into tungsten oxide under high te-mperature. Subsequently the oxide is reduced to tungsten metal in a hydrogen atmosphere. The metal powder is then mixed with carbon and carburised underinert atmosphere at high temperatures. The production parameters are decisive for the WC grain size in the sintered carbide.Powder preparationThe tungsten carbide is intensely mixed with the binder metalcobalt, nickel or iron, various grain growth inhibitors and materials, which promote compaction, by wet grinding so that ahomogeneous suspension is created. Afterwards, the suspensionis dried in a spray tower to produce a granulate with goodflow characteristics. This granulate represents the basis for allforming processes.metal formingThe objective of the forming process is to obtain a near netshape sample. Pressing is normally carried out at room temperaturewith pressures reaching up to several tons per squarecentimetre. There are several ways of pressing blanks:During isostatic cold pressing the powder is filled into an elasticflexible hose and pressed into a compacted form throughhigh liquid pressure. The powder blocks which are producedin this way can then be processed mechanically. All commonmachining methods like milling, cutting, drilling or turning maybe applied. In uniaxial pressing the pressing tool consists of a die and anupper and a lower punch. The carbide powder is filled into thedie and then compacted to create the so called green carbide, which is ejected from the pressing die.Extrusion pressing is mainly used to produce rectangular baror cylindrical rod, with or without axial hole(s). A plasticiser isadded to the powder. The resulting paste is pressed throughan extrusion nozzle. Before sintering, the plasticiser must beevaporated in special drying furnaces.metal Injection Moulding (MIM) is a process used to producemore complex forms which cannot be produced by directpressing. The paste preparation is similar to the extrusionprocess.Sintering processThe sintering process converts the blank into a homogeneousand dense carbide with a high level of hardness. The materialis sintered at temperatures between 1,300 and 1,500 °C(liquid phase sintering) and sometimes also at high pressure(up to 100 bar). The volume is reduced by up to 50 % duringthis process.FinishingIn order to achieve the final requirements of surface finish, tolerances, etc. carbide parts can be subjected to a series of finishingprocesses such as grinding, spark erosion and coating.Zhuzhou HuijinCemented carbideCo., Ltd is located in Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province, China, where is the largest tungsten carbide producing area in China. Our mainpr-oducts inclue: Tungsten carbide rods, carbide strips, carbide dies and bushes, tungsten carbide roll rings, carbide disc cutters, carbide end mill cutters, carbidestud and pins, tungsten water jet cutters, precision tools, tungsten carbide grits and powder, welding rods, ceramet inserts, PCD and CBN tools, non-standard and deep-processing products and so on.
