It also protects the system when it is first turned on in case the unit has not been sitting level.7.CAN SOLAR PANELS BE USED WITH MINI FRIDGES?The car fridge will not work properly if directly connected to solar panels, as the voltage output fluctuates too much for the controller built in the fridge. You can, however, connect solar panels through acharger/regulator to a12V battery running the fridge. The requirements for heavy duty wiring between the battery and the fridge are the same as recommended for battery only operation.8.
