Product Name: Fractionation Trays for Refineries Chemical and Petrochemical Industries Model NO.: Distillation Trays Material: Stainless Steel Surface Treatment: Without Processing Manufacturing Process: CNC Milling Type: Distillation Equipment Trademark: SPT Origin: China HS Code: 84199090 Product Description Saiptech's Tray Technology with Reliablity & PerformanceFor many years, column trays have been used in a wide range of separation processes in the petrochemical and chemical industries. Although trays have been replaced in part by random and structured packing, there are many mass transfer applications in which trays will be the preferred choice.Trays are essentially used when:Towers are very large in diameter (Multi-pass Trays)Compounds contain solids or foulantsThere are many internal transitionsLiquid loads are highLack of experience in the serviceChemical Reaction/Absorption - use high weirs to provide greater residence time for absorption / chemical reaction.Saiptech offers a variety of tray products which include conventional sieve, valve and bubble cap trays, and specialty trays such as dual flow trays, disc and donut and side-to-side baffle trays.Sieve Trays--Simple SolutionsSieve trays are a low priced type of trayswhere high turndown is not required. Saiptech has the capability to design and manufacture virtually any type of sieve tray. Tray hole sizes down to 3.2 mm and up to 16 mm in diameter are offered.Bubble Cap Trays--High TurndownBubble cap trays, generally, have the ability to handle wide ranges of liquid and vapour flow rates satisfactory due to their leak proof properties. This advantage is exploited in special applications such as gas scrubbers where a large amount of vapour must be in direct contact with the low liquid flow.Standard cap sizes of 80, 100 and 150 mm are available. Custom designs are also available.Dual Flow Trays--For Fouling ConditionsDual flow trays are sieve trays without downcomer, they are mainly applied when fouling or polymeriztion has to be expected.Baffle, Shower Deck,Disc & Donut Trays--For Severe Fouling ConditionsThese trays are typically applied in severely fouling services. They are configured so that the liquid flows downward throughthe column, splashing from one baffle to the next lower one.Ascending vapor contacts the liquid by passing through theliquid curtains. These trays are used in washing sectionswhere fouling resistance has priority over high efficiency.Cartridge Trays--For Small ColumnsCartridge trays are typically used for small flanged columnswhere physically installing the trays inside the column is notfeasible. Column diameters range between 300 to 800 mmCartridge trays are assembled in bundles for easyand fast installation. They can be equipped with all types oftray decks and downcomers.Valve Trays--For Broad Operation FlexibilityLike sieve trays, valve trays have been in use as far back as the 1950's but nowadays have become the more popular choice because of their greater operating range properties. Valve trays are essentially flat perforated trays with moveable or fixed valve units with or without a cage structure covering the holes. Moveable valves are disk-shaped type devices which are enclosed within a cage structure or contain legs formed out of the valve disk. Fixed valves are units with integral legs formed out of the tray deck.Saiptech offers conventional round valve trays, rectangular valve trays, caged valve trays, fixed valve trasy.Comparison of Common Conventional TrayTRAY TYPEBUBBLE CAPDUALFLOWSIEVevalVECapacityModerateVery HighHighHigh to very highPressure DropHighLow to ModerateLow to ModerateModerate.Older designs were somewhat higher.Recent designs same as sieve trays.EfficiencyModerate (0.6 - 0.8)Lower compared to others (0.5 - 0.7)High (0.7 - 0.9)High (0.7 - 0.9)TurndownVery high Can handle very Can handle very low liquid ratesLow.
